Firstly I must say that I was really excited about your site. A lot of effort has gone into this. THANK YOU. Francis Upham was my Great Grandfather. He was born in Stogumber 1832. Parents William Upham -Mary Hooper. He immigrated first to Victoria Australia. The Gold rush. Returned home, Again went to Australia. Married in Melbourne 1859. Then onto New Zealand, 1865-1867. He then returned Home October 1877. ( some relative had left him money, who I don't know.) he died in Devon 1st August 1890. Then Buried St. Marys, Stogumber 7th August 1890. Some of the Upham family is buried there, next to the path in a row. William/Mary Hooper, Frederick/Anne, Francis and I think Walter. I did get to visit in 2006. The Graves were getting in a sad state. No one there to say HELLO to them. I live in New Zealand, so its sad. I do have a clear record of the Inscriptions if that helps. Thank you very much Bernice Houghton
